Graduation

Tomorrow, I am graduating from Cornerstone Christian School. I am sad, yet glad at the same exact time. Since I have gone to Cornerstone all my life, it is sad that I'll have to go. Yet as I look ahead of me, I am prepared for the challenge of the upcoming years. I am prepared for what God has in store for me. When I graduate, I will be able to turn the page and start a brand new chapter of my life. I hope that the next chapter of my life will be one I want to look back on. The chapter of Cornerstone is a happy memory that I will be able to look back on. I hope that the next upcoming chapters will be great memories too.

Spring Banquet

8th Grade! This year, as CCS, all the 8th graders got to start a new tradition. They got to attend the first annual Spring Banquet. We had four courses! That is a bunch of food. I was SO STUFFED! When dessert came, I HAD to eat more. I mean... cheesecake. How can you possibly refuse CHEESECAKE? I love cheesecake...

The Art of Sauces

Sauces really do make your food take really good. Mustard, ketchup, and barbecue sauce all make your food better. What tastes good with what?

I think that yellow mustard (or mustard mixed with ketchup) with corn dogs taste pretty good, but not too much mustard. It has to be just the right amount. In my opinion mustard doesn't taste any good unless it is on a corn dog. The corn dog mellows out the mustard's flavor and the mustard hides the corn dog's aftertaste.

Ketchup tastes good on McDonald's cheeseburgers (Oh, mustard doesn't taste too bad on them either because you can barely taste it). It makes the burger more enjoyable because it is not so dry. Ketchup also tastes good on meatloaf, and that is about it. Meatloaf doesn't really taste that good (well, depending on who makes it) and the ketchup hides the taste. I find when you are eating meatloaf, don't think about the meatloaf, just chug it down. :)

Now... Can I have a drum roll please? Dun dun dun dun.... Introducing, the one and only BARBECUE SAUCE!!! Now, seriously, this sauce tastes good on lots of things. Have you ever tasted BBQ sauce on a hot dog? A hamburger? A corn dog? Even meatloaf? When you have BBQ sauce on a hot dog, it tastes so good. Basically any kind will work, but on a hot dog I would suggest not a very strong kind. Maybe Sweet Baby Ray's or even Kraft BBQ sauce would be better. On a hamburger, about any kind would do. It tastes even better if you have bacon on your hamburger along with the BBQ sauce. Corn dogs taste good with BBQ sauce too, but that makes sense because they are hot dogs with bread around them. Now meatloaf, I would only suggest it if you have a problem with ketchup or really like BBQ sauce. Sometimes ketchup doesn't seem to settle in my stomach, and I feel like BBQ sauce.

In conclusion, I think barbecue sauce is the best sauce is the entire world!!! So, whenever you have time, you should go and try this wonderful food. I would definalty suggest it.

Responsible Blogging

The Internet can be a dangerous place, full of different people. Anything you post on the Internet will most likely never go away. Here is some rules I plan to follow and I suggest you follow too:

1. Don't ever give out any personal information, like your address or phone number.

2. Like I said before, odds are whatever you post on the Internet will never go away. If you don't want your boss 10 years from now to read what you have posted, then don't post it. Also think of what God would say if you posted a certain thing on your blog. You should care about what he feels, he is with you wherever you go.

3. Don't put a link on your blog that you have never visited. You don't want to be associated to something that could be bad. Also, if you insist on putting a link that may be scary, warn people about it. I would suggest not posting anything creepy or disgusting on your blog.

4. Don't become "friends" with people you don't know. If someone happens to look at your blog, don't have any information that could lead them to you. People out there can be dangerous, and you can't be too careful.

5. You should not use the blog as a way to "defame, threaten, or harass others." First of all it can be rude, and second if you posted something rude about a president or a senator, the police will tract you down and you can get in trouble.

6. When commenting on other people's blogs, you want to act professional, or act like you know what you are talking about. Some good suggestions to start a comment are below:

c) I wonder...

d) I realized...

e) I noticed...

f) You can relate this to...

g) I'd like to know...

When you post a comment, you should always read the thing you are commenting on fully, and then elaborate on your opinion or idea and end with a question.

A New Day, Poem by: Me

The sun crept through the trees,
Opening flowers, awakening bees,
Average Villagers awoke with a start,
When the milkman came rolling his cart.



While the Blacksmith started to hammer,
The town began to clamor,
A tailor started to stitch,
As some workmen dug a ditch.



A day had begun in their town,
No one acted like a clown,
Each Resident was doing a chore,
As Little Joe Lee walked out the door.


He walked out to a secret place he had found,
And sat upon a great dirt mound,
His meadow was as quiet as can be,
Until the morning sun hit Little Joe Lee.


The sun glided over the grass,
Reminding him of a dancing lass,
The dewdrops shined with joyful glee,
While daises peeked out in curiosity.


Birds sang with all their might,
Causing squirrels to laugh in delight,
The mice searched for something to eat,
While the fox followed his little meat.

Little Joe Lee stood looking in awe,
He wanted to shout and sing, "La la!"
Staring at the scene, he said with a call,
"Thank you God, for making it all!"

Dance Recital 2010

Dance! The theme of this year was color. I was the colors blue, white, green, and black. This year at out annual dance recital, me and my classmates performed in four dances, three in jazz and one in ballet. The first piece we performed was Black or White by Micheal Jackson. It was cheoagraphed by four people and was mostly hip hop. The second piece was a ballet dance. Half of the group was snow while the other half was green plants. Our third piece was iContact by Group 1 Crew. It was a Hip Hop piece. Our last piece was Alive Again by Matt Mahar. This was probably my favorite piece, very peaceful and worshipful. I love dance and am glad I have the opprotunity to go to River City Dance.
